Threading - An all organic hair removing technique

Threading - An all organic hair removing technique

Updated: Sep 19, 2019

Threading is an ancient temporary hair removal technique that has been used in India for thousands of years. The benefit of threading that most sets it apart from other hair removal techniques is its precision. While waxing and plucking can often leave unwanted stray hairs around your eyebrows, a threading expert goes through your hair row by row, giving eyebrows a clean and defined shape. Threading only removes hair, not skin, and because it is so exact, it can remove hairs that are finer than those that can be removed by waxing or plucking.

Threading is also very fast -- only takes about 15 minutes (eyebrows), and sometimes even less.

Below is a list of benefits of threading:

100% Natural – Chemical free!

Unlike other hair removal procedures such as waxing and laser, threading does not use any chemicals. The only thing that is used is a soft cotton thread. Since there are no artificial products or ingredients are used, there is no likelihood of any irritation or itchiness (often caused by using wax on face). At Indisk Skjønnhet we believe strongly in organic beauty care and products and DO NOT use any wax on facial area.

Get the brow that suits YOUR face!

Perhaps the biggest benefit that threading has over other techniques is the ability to shape eyebrows with stunning precision. Individual hairs can be targeted, but multiple hairs can still be removed at the same time. Threading can remove one clean line of hair at once, allowing our threading and brow experts to perfectly shape your eyebrows.

Safety

According to WebMD, threading is a safer alternative to waxing – especially on facial area.

Threading is also safer because it does not use chemicals that can lead to skin irritation and will not lead to painful unwanted skin removal.

Long Lasting

The results last from anywhere between 3-5 weeks. Another thing to take into account is that threading weakens hair follicles, causing growth to be less dense over time. So, the more you get your eyebrows threaded, the finer the hair will grow in and the less often you will have to thread.

Technique and Skill

Threading is an ancient technique that requires a great amount of skill and takes hours-upon-hours of practice to master. Because of the difficulty of the procedure, it is not recommended that you do it yourself or find a low-end salon. Finding a salon with a good reputation will ensure that you will get the best trained threading artists to give you the eyebrows you desire. We at Indisk Skjønnhet have over 20 years of experience in threading!
